wildlife rescueOur admitting hours are as follows:
We accept ill, injured, and orphaned wildlife seven days a week. Get directions to FLWC. Please note, FLWC is not able to rehabilitate the following species: White Tailed Deer, Skunks, European Starlings, and English House Sparrows. Because our center is volunteer run, we can not accept any animals outside of these times. If you have found an sick or injured wild animal outside of our admitting hours, call the Emergency Clinic for Animals at 274-7772, and located at 229 W Beltline Hwy. Very often, concerned citizens mistake healthy happy baby animals for orphans. If you have ANY questions about if a baby is actually an orphan please call us at (608) 838-0413 x 151 before bringing the baby in. Many wild mothers only tend to their young one to two times a day in order to protect them from predators. They will generally NOT visit the babies while you are watching! Other resources:
